Ultralight stove- caldera keg system **UPDATE**

Ultralight stove- caldera keg system **UPDATE**

tried a suggetion from a user, to use the cozy while it was burning to help insulate the can exposed top, it worked but at the sacrifice of melting the lower portion of the cozy a bit, and only decreased boil time by seconds. Not worth it in my opinion, but trial and error. Hope this helps.

What type of fuel are you using for your Caldera? Is it just Isopropyl alcohol?

Reinforce. He’s asking how you strengthened the can. Did you thicken the walls of the can or apply any sort of coating?

Good system except there’s a lot of evidence that the plastic coating on the inside of cans is toxic when heated. Do a search on this.

salt will not bring water to a boil faster, but increase the tempature at which it boils. meaning it will take longer to boil but will be hotter and salt is great for cooking
